New Me(al)
Artwork for Brand New Word
Milan, Italy
With New Me(al), John Blond brings his signature Noodles to the Happy Meal box, a global symbol of childhood consumption and branded happiness. Reinterpreted through his personal visual language, the packaging becomes a space for exploring how brands shape desires and identities, and how art can reclaim their imagery through irony and critical reflection. The title plays on the relationship between the “new me” and the “meal”, questioning what we consume and what becomes part of us. The work was presented at Museo Bagatti Valsecchi for Brand New Word by Arteria, curated by Francesco Caputo with artistic direction by Silvia Ranzi.
